With many of us closing down offices and sites, and uncertain about what the next few weeks held in store for us, let alone the wider future, we’ve sought to find present-day solutions to all that’s been thrown at us following the increase of Covid-19 cases and the UK Government’s response to lessening its onslaught. In our last issue we detailed a number of FIS members involved in putting up and fitting out the Nightingale hospitals. In this issue, we look in more depth at the virus outbreak and have devoted this whole issue towards the impacts, insights, innovations and more it has brought to the industry. Diversification and innovation have helped many companies to get offices and work sites back on track, while helping keep their own business on track, while shared good practice and advice have seen the fit-out sector collaborate like never before. Some of the features we’ve pulled together for this issue should help to answer the questions on everyone’s lips, while giving some good pointers on how we can all pull together to get the future of our industry back on track.
