Potato Review

1. Get your FREE tickets in advance (www.bp2021.co.uk ) – it will be much quicker than registering on the day (and also means we could alert you to any changes before you travel). 2. Please do NOT travel if you : • feel unwell or have symptoms associated with Covid-19 • have tested positive within the 10 days prior to the event • have been instructed to isolate (In the unlikely event of developing symptoms while at the event you would also be required to leave. As such, you may consider there is benefit in testing yourself before travelling) 3. Please bring your NHS Covid Pass (or international equivalent), as this will be required to enter. These are free and easy to obtain on phone or paper. This is NOT the app that ‘pings’ you or tracks contacts etc. 4. When at the event please respect others’ preferences and personal space. A Covid Pass is required because of: • Instructions/advice received from authorities, insurers, venue etc. • Clear scientific consensus that verification of Covid status significantly reduces event transmission risk. • Representations received from exhibitors and visitors. • The Government’s statement that it could introduce Covid Pass requirements (as already apply elsewhere in the UK) at very short notice - which would prove chaotic if not planned for in advance. • Our determination to provide the opportunity for the Potato Industry to gather and to do so with peace of mind. If haven’t yet got your NHS Covid Pass yet, here’s how: • Current eligibility is set out on the websites below. At the time of writing, in England it includes completed vaccination course or recent recorded negative Lateral Flow Test or proof of past infection in a specified time period. For other parts of the UK, eligibility varies. • Details of the quick, simple and free process to get your Covid Pass, based on where you reside, can be found at: o England: www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/covid-pass/ o Northern Ireland: https://covidcertni.nidirect.gov.uk/ o Scotland: www.nhsinform.scot/covid19status o Wales: https://gov.wales/get-your-nhs-covid-pass o (Valid international equivalents will also be accepted). If you travel without a Covid Pass We may offer a supervised Lateral Flow Test and permit entry if the result is negative. Availability of such tests is limited and subject to: 1) Testing kit supplies. 2) The medical team not being called away to an emergency. 3) This option still being legal as an approved entry option for a Harrogate-based event at the time of the show (bearing in mind that in some other parts of the UK it already is not). Please note that such a test would be conducted outside, prior to entry, and would involve a delay of at least 20-30 minutes. Onsite testing is a last resort and getting your NHS Covid Pass is a much better option allowing fast, hassle-free entry (to this and many other venues). Please note: 1) Rules on obtaining a Covid Pass are set by where you reside. Rules affecting the event are those applicable to Harrogate, UK at the time of the event. 2) Governments regularly change Covid-19 regulations, often at short notice. We advise checking the latest information before travelling. HANDS FACE SPACE (You’ll see, we’re implementing agreed best practice from the outset. Our approach is this is better, safer and far less chaotic than scrambling to introduce changes late on if circumstances change) Providing for handwashing and sanitising and encouraging this. Minimising touchpoints and operating enhanced cleaning regimes. Cashless payment in cafes and reducing multi-use, self-service items. Legally, face coverings are now personal preference. You’re welcome to wear one. Using screens where appropriate – e.g. catering displays. Enhancing site ventilation and monitoring efficacy. Minimising pinchpoints and processes that could cause congestion. Signposting - e.g. extra toilet and catering facilities to avoid queues. Postponing activities involving prolonged close proximity within more confined spaces. Exhibitors are also implementing many of the above measures on their stands and making other changes to give you and their own staff extra peace of mind. What we are asking you to do Some of the things we and the venue are doing What exhibitors are doing The potato industry has made it clear it wants the British Potato event to happen. We recognise you also want peace of mind. And so do we. So, here’s a summary of how the show is being delivered to the very highest standards. 3 About Covid-19 for your Peace of Mind
