It doesn’t seem twomonths since we were pulling together the July issue and I can hardly believe it’s less than twomonths until that industry double-bill – e National Potato Industry Awards and BP2021 . With somuch having happened over the past two years, frommachinery developments, trials ndings, industry collaborations and buy-outs, supply chain challenges and environmental targets and ndings, there will be somuch to catch up on at the show and celebrate at the awards event, which takes place on the rst evening andmarks the second collaboration between organisers of the two events. It’s been such a tough year for all of us in the potato industry, with everyone’s nances and personal circumstances being impacted, and this really will be a chance to keep travel to aminimumby combining two events in one, while still giving us the chance to see rst-hand all the newdevelopments to come to the industry, obtain advice and good practice knowledge at free seminars, then relax, network and celebrate in the evening when the show ends and the awards dinner kicks o .
