InCa™ Plus is an advanced foliar spray which uses patented CaT™ technology to increase calcium mobility, reducing calcium disorders and improving crop performance in brassicas, leafy greens, potatoes and root vegetables. Calcium is an essential nutrient for cell formation and a continuous supply is required throughout the growing season. Low calcium uptake and mobility in the crop result in deficiency symptoms, poor storability and lower marketable yields. This is more common when apoplastic calcium movement is limited by low transpiration. CaT technology increases the symplastic movement of calcium by stimulating selective ion transport channels in cell membranes. Higher cell calcium concentration creates greater localised movement and a more even distribution of calcium in the plant. Trials by Lancaster University show rapid elevation of calcium concentration in leaves treated with CaT technology, followed by a systemic increase within untreated leaves compared with a calcium nitrate control. InCa Plus is compatible with most pesticides, adjuvants and foliar fertilisers. Regular application at low rates increases calcium mobility and crop performance.
