ALTERNATIVE USES W HEN an amateur photographer ran out of developer to develop his film in, he came up with the idea of using blended / filtered potatoes with washing soda and some vitamin C – and says he’s been more than happy with the result. “It makes a good developer, and it’s environmentally friendlier than using traditional film developers,” said Mark Kelsall, who is based in a village just outside of Brighton on the south coast and has been a hobby photographer for about 10 years.
