Founded in Canada in 1957 by the McCain brothers, the company created the rst frozen chip and now has 52 production facilities across six continents. e company is still family owned. As most of our readers may already know, its UK business began, and is still based in, Yorkshire and it has ve factories across the UK. It owns a potato seed business in Montrose, Scotland and works with more than 250 UK growers. e National Potato Industry Awards, will take place on the rst night of BP2023. Along with fellow sponsor, Kings Lynn- based JD Cooling Group, McCain is urging all those involved in the industry to start thinking of how they too can get involved. JD Cooling Group Business Development Director Richard Corby said: “We look forward to celebrating the hard work of growers and suppliers alike and seeing their successes recognised within the industry.
