Without forgetting the announcement of previous Women in ACR participant Linda McVittie being named in the Women in Engineering Society’s Top 50 Women in Engineering for 2021. Events and recognitions like these help us remember that our industry is full of exceptional people in their own right, with most working quietly in the background, making a considerable impact. So it’s a pleasure to mention in this edition Mike Nankivell and his richly-deserved OBE, Kevin Gregory, the team at London South Bank University, along with Lisa-Jayne Cook and this month’s Woman in ACR Karen Perry, all exceptional role models. We feature various topics that widely cover the refrigeration sector from computer-aided design, refrigerant discussions, best practices and equipment end of life recycling. Also, a STEMazing update discusses how we attract a new generation into the industry - intentionally rather than falling into it as it appears most of us have done! I hope you enjoy this edition of ACR Journal. Andy 46 03 CONTENTS CMYK / .ai CMYK / .ai CMYK / .ai acrjournal.uk REGULARS 4. News Key industry updates 24. Toolstalk 25.
