This year has been a strange one, marked with stops and starts as we moved through what will hopefully be the last of such a painful period of time. However, things now appear to be in full swing, with events packed into the final months of the year. Our very own calendar highlight, the National Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heat Pump Awards, went off with a bang in Manchester in October. It was fantastic to see so many people with smiles on their faces as the noise levels rose with people finally speaking face to face. Congratulations to all the winners and finalists, hopefully, you’ll be able to spot yourself in the awards supplement! I think now more than ever we recognise how important our industry is in maintaining essential services, gaining wider commendation along the way. In addition, remarkable innovation and system design have continued our push to reduce our environmental impact in serving these services. We have the pleasure of showing some examples in this edition from Arctic Circle, Sure Solutions and Wave Refrigeration. We have also continued to recognise the need to find and inspire the next generation of deep thinkers, promoted by World Refrigeration Day and grown by the remarkable STEMazing movement, just to name a couple. Best wishes to everyone across the festive period and see you all in 2022! Andy REGULARS 4. News Key industry updates 13. Tools Talk The right tool bag for the job 30.
