The air-e has a low power consumption and is said to be ideal for applications including hotels, schools, care homes, hospitals, offices, restaurants and homes. The maintenance and service-free technology produces hydroxyl radicals (also known as OH radicals) – up to 4.8 trillion per second. Abundant in nature, hydroxyl radicals have the capacity to inhibit certain pollutants, viruses, and bacteria to clean and deodorise – studies have shown the nanoe X generator can inhibit the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and the Influenza virus H1N1 subtype by up to 99.9%. Additionally, the air-e comes in a compact, modern, and easy to install design, weighing just 1.1kg, and is super quiet at just 27 dB(A) for discreet operation. Panasonic’s air-e is also recommended for retrofit projects as it can be installed without complicated piping work. One device is suitable for spaces around 20 m2, , while multiple devices can be installed in a room to the ensure the air-e devices cover the entire area. The new stand-alone device offers to bring nanoe™X benefits to spaces that have recent HVAC systems but do not have nanoe X technology built-in. The thermal imager has a 120 x 90 pixel (10,800) thermal detector with ≤60mk Thermal Sensitivity (NETD) that displays both centre spot and high/low temperature tracking. The imager's sensors allow it to detect mechanical breakdowns, water leaks and moisture buildup, heat loss from missing insulation and faulty windows/ doors, and more. The 61mm focus-free, colour TFT display shows imagery in 320 x 240 resolution with multiple colour display palettes including Ironbow, Rainbow, White- Hot, Black-Hot, Rainbow HC, and Lava. The imager has a temperature range of -4 to 752°F (-20 to 400°C), a built-in LED worklight, and user programmable audible and visual high/ low temperature alarms, making the imager customisable and ready for use in any environment. The on board-image gallery allows users to view images (.bmp) on-site or transfer them to a PC via USB interface. Additional features include an easy-to-use 4-button menu, auto power off with disable, a real time clock/calendar, 3.7V rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, and a 1-year warranty. https://triplett.com/online/ REHAU EXTENDS RAUTITAN MLCP RANGE Polymer pipework manufacturer REHAU has announced the launch of new sizes for its RAUTITAN Stabil heating and plumbing multi-layer composite pipe (MLCP). The pipework will now be available in 50-63mm formats, with new polymer compression sleeves also developed to support these applications. These new sizes in SDR11 pipework are able to achieve a 25% increase in flow rate over its Flex equivalent, while maintaining lower thermal expansion. The solution is still certified up to pressures of 10 bar for increased peace-of-mind, while unique compression sleeve technology using no O-rings guarantees security for the installation. The larger 50-63mm sizes are ideal for corridors and risers, and can be used for radiator and drinking water applications. Franz Huelle, head of technical at REHAU Building Solutions, said: “Versality has always remained a core design principle for RAUTITAN, allowing it to be easily specified for a variety of applications. RAUTITAN is now sold in over 50 countries worldwide with over 900,000,000 compression sleeve joints sold. “With the launch of these new sizes for the RAUTITAN Stabil range, we’re looking to take this versatility one step further, providing even wider scope for the use of RAUTITAN and cementing its position as the comprehensive MLCP solution. Many contractors who have previously used traditional pipework materials enjoy the benefits of multilayer pipework, so it is only natural we expanded our MLCP range to cater for this demand.” www.rehau.uk/rautitan S&P KEEPS THINGS QUIET WITH MELLIZO Ventilation manufacturer S&P UK says its new Mellizo unit is the quietest and most efficient twin fan it has ever produced, following years of research and development. Designed for simple installation in a range of environments such as bathrooms and changing rooms, Mellizo benefits from optimal efficiency, innovative design, and the lowest Specific Fan Power (SFP) possible. It is also designed to extend fan life with uninterrupted ventilation and save energy in line with the latest Building Regulations. Sales director Lee Page said: “We have challenged and channelled the expertise of our collective minds in the UK and our Spanish headquarters to create Mellizo – a unique and unrivalled twin fan that we believe cannot be beaten on noise, efficiency or value.’’ The acoustic twin cabinet fan, is manufactured from double layered galvanised steel sheet and is internally lined with fireproof insulating foam to help reduce noise breakout. All five models incorporate two S&P EcoWatt backward curved centrifugal fans and brushless EC motors with thermal overload protection. Mellizo is designed for indoor and external installation with horizontal and vertical mounting and is fully compliant with ISO quality standards. It features over 15 accessories, including the AirSens Wireless CO 2 monitor, REB-ECOWATT remote speed controller, and matched MELL-SIL silencer and seven-day programmable time-clock systems. https://solerpalau.marketing/mellizo
