47 CHANGING FACES FIVE ADDED TO FINN GEOTHERM LINE-UP Expanding Norfolk-based renewable heating firm Finn Geotherm has appointed five new staff following the award of a multi-million pound contract to install a series of heat pump projects in the public sector. They have joined the installation and quotation teams, bolstering FinnGeotherm’s capabilities for specifying and installing new heat pump projects for both commercial and domestic customers. Joining the team are: · Jamie Moore – electrician, responsible for installing and commissioning heat pump systems. Jamie joins with seven years’ experience as an electrician working in factory maintenance. · Sam Groves – trainee electrician, working alongside Finn Geotherm’s experienced team. Sam joins fromCollege, having completed a Level 3 diploma. · Ross Brown – multi-skilled engineer, responsible for installing heat pumps. Ross has a background in offshore electrical and mechanical engineering and has spent the past six years installing Combined Heat & Power (CHP) systems. · Jeremy Dowsing – electrician, responsible for installing and commissioning heat pump systems. Having spent 32 years in the RAF as an aircraft avionics engineer, Jeremy was looking for a change and keen to join the renewable sector. · Jude Duguay – quotations assistant, working alongside the heat loss surveyor and supporting the quotations team in assessing potential heat pump projects. Liam Rodda has been appointed northern business development manager for heating products. Withwell over 15 years of experience, Liam joins Samsung at a crucial time of growthwith the heat pumpmarket is set to expand in the UK’s bid to reach ‘net zero’ by 2050. Stuart Bell joins the team as southern business development manager. He has been in the industry for over 13 years and his new role will see himworking on promoting and selling residential heat pump related product lines to installers and specification clients in the south of England. Product manager Joe Raftery started in the heating industry as an apprentice heating engineer over 30 years ago and has given technical support to a number of heating manufactures in that time. Newly-appointed pre-sales engineer Jose Leite has been in the industry for 10 years and his new role will see himworking closely with the wider sales team to provide design solutions that meet the customer’s expectation. Stuart Leivers , meanwhile, joins an as service engineer working specifically with air source heat pumps. The past year has seen the Climate Solutions team expand in all areas of the business, including sales, marketing, technical support and management. This additional headcount recognises the significant opportunity within the heat pump sector in the UK and will provide a base for further sales development.” www.samsung.com/climate DEANE FLINT, COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR, COOLAIR EQUIPMENT LIMITED Deane Flint, former branch president (UK & IRE) for Mitsubishi Electric Europe, has been appointed commercial director at Coolair Equipment Ltd and will be responsible for delivering a new nationwide sales programme at the Manchester-based company. Flint spent over two decades at Mitsubishi Electric, joining as regional sales manager and becoming the first non-Japanese President of the UK & Ireland Branch. He started his career in the HVAC industry in 1981 as a trainee building services design engineer and draughtsman for a Government consultancy service, the Property Services Agency.
