Bursar’s Review Impact Report 2022

ISBA aims to advance education by developing the skills and knowledge of independent school bursars and support sta . We o er them the professional development training they need to stay on top of the challenges a ecting independent schools today. ISBA annual conference 2021 ISBA’s 2020 annual conference was postponed (on no less than three occasions!) due to COVID-19. However, we were able to successfully deliver our 2021 conference which was held at the ICC, Wales, and was extended by one day, in November 2021. The return of the event was welcomed by member schools, whose representatives benefited from the many training and networking opportunities on o er. In addition to seven plenaries (more than double the previous event), delegates were given the opportunity to choose from 15 panel sessions, presented by 62 speakers, covering a wide range of issues relevant to bursars and senior managers from all types of schools. The brief to speakers and panellists was to “provoke and challenge” as we emerge into a new normal and this objective was undoubtedly achieved! 166 exhibitors, which included two information stands and 18 conference sponsors, o ered a broad range of services to schools during the event’s large exhibition and feedback from delegates, sponsors and exhibitors was extremely positive. 12 Impact Report Professional development
