42 Spring 2021 P oint of Rental has appointed two new guides to help users maximise their rental software experience. Kim Hamilton joins after 11 years of providing support for another rental software company. Her career started in the event rental industry, working in event rental throughout the New England area before switching to the software support world in 2009. She’ll be solving user issues with Point of Rental’s support team as a Tier II Support Specialist. Point of Rental’s Australian office also has a new face. Michael Pavlov is its first Sales Development Representative. He’ll help determine the best solutions for potential clients. Born in Australia, he grew up in the US before returning to Australia for university, where he graduated with business and marketing degrees. He speaks English and Russian. Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris said: “We’re focused on customer happiness, not just satisfaction. Whether people are figuring out which product will help them achieve their goals or they’re already using Point of Rental and they need an expert, Kim and Michael will help ensure they’re getting the information they need.” H usband-and-wife agency employees Julie and Sean McReynolds have now taken permanent positions with JCB. The couple, of Alton, Staffordshire, both gave up permanent jobs with other employers to take up agency positions with the company in 2018 – Julie at the World HQ in Rocester and Sean at JCB Earthmovers in Cheadle, Staffordshire. They are now among more than 300 shop floor agency employees across JCB’s UK factories to be given permanent JCB contracts. Father-of-three Sean who had spent 20 years in management roles with Boots and Marks & Spencer, said: “The change has been brilliant for me and getting a permanent contract is simply the icing on the cake.” Julie said: “It means such lot for us both to get permanent contracts and our eldest son and his girlfriend sent us a bottle of champagne when we got the news, so we did manage a little celebration.” Later this year, the company is also aiming to give 400 agency shop floor employees with more than a year’s service permanent JCB contracts. The company is also recruiting an additional 450 agency shop floor employees at its factories in Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Wrexham.
