Spring 2021 43 www.hae.org.uk www.eha.org.uk H ire Association Europe and Event Hire Association (HAE EHA) has expanded its Hire Certification Services team with the addition of Katherine Ward, who started on April 6th. Katherine joined the team as a Certification Services Administration Assistant and will work closely with Chris Carter, supporting Carl Bartlett. They will contact HAE EHA members to organise site audits and assist with follow-up actions, helping companies achieve SafeHire and HITS certification. Katherine’s career so far has been in retail for companies including House of Fraser and most recently Le Creuset in Solihull, West Midlands. Her role there was made redundant in February so Katherine enrolled with JobCentre Plus who encouraged her to sign up to the Government’s Kickstart Scheme. She said: “The scheme was a no-brainer really, I would be offered jobs with employers who were being funded to take me on. Plus I wanted to get away from retail and more into customer service where I think I have really strong skills, so starting here has worked out perfectly.” Director of Certification Services, Carl Bartlett, said: “What stood out about Katherine, apart from her extensive customer relationship skills, was her personality. She is a highly affable and talkative person, who is very upbeat which will help her forge good relationships with members. This will be vital in her role when dealing with people and booking audits.” The Hire Certification Services team will continue to grow in the coming months with the expansion of the auditor team.
