46 Spring 2021 INDUSTRY NEWS E ngine manufacturer Kubota UK Limited and equipment dealer Lister Wilder UK have entered a new strategic industrial partnership. Kubota UK is a subsidiary of Kubota Corporation, a globally- renowned manufacturer of OEM- tailored industrial off-highway, diesel and spark-ignited engines while Lister Wilder Ltd is a UK-based agriculture, grounds maintenance and construction equipment dealer in the south of England. The new agreement will establish Lister Wilder Ltd as the new regional service dealer for Kubota industrial engines throughout the south-east of England. This new venture further expands on the long-term strategic partnership between Lister Wilder Ltd and Kubota UK, who’s agriculture and construction divisions already exist within the Kubota Gold+ Dealer divisions of Lister Wilder Ltd. Lister Wilder Director Charlie King said: “Having begun working with Kubota more than 25 years ago, we have comprehensive experience of Kubota engines within our own applications, so this partnership extension is a natural progression of the excellent relationship we have with the Japanese manufacturer. “As a business, we are constantly striving to enhance our operations to ensure we can support the varied needs of our local customers. Expanding our operations in partnership with Kubota Engines offers us huge potential to grow the Kubota brand even further in our region.” Kubota’s range of oil and water-cooled diesel, and dual fuel engines are used in a wide range of applications. Its products feature the latest Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) technology as an after- treatment solution and counter measures in reducing exhaust gas emissions to meet EU Stage V emission requirements for non-road mobile machinery. Sales Manager in Kubota UK’s Engines division, Paul Mortlock, said: “The company has been selling and servicing Kubota machinery for years, so already has extensive experience with our engines. The addition of OEM engine and spare parts supply is an exciting opportunity for Lister Wilder in the industrial engines market and we are looking forward to working in partnership with them.” Lister Wilder is a wholly-owned family business that was established in 1947. Now in its third generation, the company has evolved to become a well-known and well-respected name throughout the industry, recently winning Service Dealer’s agricultural and ground care Dealer of the Year award. Its Kubota ground care business dates back to 1995 and was complemented by expansion with Kubota’s construction equipment in 2001. Its first Kubota centre was created three years ago in Ashford, Kent, and investment plans are in place to create further Kubota centres across its network this year. << KUBOTA ENGINES ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH LISTER WILDER
