30 www.thefis.org Linear Group acquires stake in fire safety consultancy Contracting and fit-out specialists, Linear Group, have acquired a stake in Kyle Management Solutions, a fire safety solutions consultancy, to create Linear Fire Safety (LFS). Based in the Group’s Glasgow HQ, LFS becomes the fifth division of Linear Group. Three new senior fire specialists have joined the Group, bringing over 100 years of fire experience to the business and providing essential insight for clients across the UK. Former Assistant Chief Officer (Director of Operations) of Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, Bill McDonagh, who brings 42 years of fire safety experience, takes up the post of Chairman of LFS. Based in Cundall’s London office, Barbara Sacha joined the business in 2017 as an Associate in the Critical Systems team, becoming Associate Director in 2019. She is a qualified chartered mechanical engineer. Alex Carter joined Cundall as Associate Director in 2016, having spent most of his career working across the globe, and this experience delivering projects with different cultural considerations has prepared him for working in Cundall’s Singapore and Dubai offices, as well as in Birmingham where he is based. Lee French has been promoted to Partner and also has the position of Operations Director for the MENA business.
