Top quality seed potatoes available for November 2020 Delivery onwards New Exciting PCNVariety Partnership Solana Seeds UK Ltd are proud to announce a working partnership and marketing agreement with The Rush Group with the Solana GmbH variety Amanda. This is a direct result of a close, strong and dedicated relationship between both parties, which has been supported by selected seed and ware growers around the country. Amanda has shown excellence in its resistance to Pa2, Pa3, RO1 and RO4 with a reduction of numbers of up to 80% in cysts. Furthermore, Amanda shows incredible tolerance, which is sometimes lacking in most varieties. Amanda produces relatively high dry matters which lends itself nicely to the fresh chip and batch frying crisp markets. We have experienced strong resistance to black leg, virus and Alternaria issues. It has very uniform tuber set and its seed rate recommended for ware production is very modest in terms of density, resulting in cheaper seed input costs than some of its rivals. “Rush Group are delighted with the agreement to represent and assist Solana with the marketing & development of this exciting PCN resistance variety” commented Ross Haynes – Rush Group Seed Manager. “After 4 years of trials and development in which Solana Seeds and The Rush Group have worked in conjunction with one another.
