Airedale R&D teams have worked hard to deliver improved e ciency, performance and IoT functionality, with cooling capacity of 31-98kW and an Energy E ciency Ratio (EER) that is up to 25 per cent higher than the previous ranges. Airedale says the EasiCool range is the global reference in precision cooling, with installs spanning over 3,000 applications and four continents since 2005. This latest evolution builds on the reputation for compactness and e ciency, with up to 57 per cent more cooling power than previous models. EasiCool Evo2 also delivers more cooling kW per m2 following a complete redesign of the case layout, making it more e cient and attractive to small and medium sized data centres, computer rooms and other on-site equipment rooms. EasiCool Evo2 o ers various airflow configurations, with front, rear, top or base return air options, thus increasing versatility of the product. An expanded operating envelope allows return air temperatures ranging from 18°C to 40°C and ambient temperatures of -20°C to +52°C. www.Airedale.com TRANE EXTENDS LOW-GWP LINE-UP Trane’s Sintesis Advantage CGAF air-cooled chillers with low-GWP R454B refrigerant are now available in capacities ranging from 150 to 670 kW. The units are said deliver up to 5 per cent better cooling e ciency and an equally wide operating map compared to equivalent models with R410A. R454B, a non-ozone depleting HFO/HFC blend, has a GWP level of 467, the lowest among the refrigerants available for scroll compressor technology. R454B o ers 76 per cent reduction in direct GWP impact against R410A and 34 per cent reduction against R32 . Louis Rompre, portfolio manager at Trane in Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “Since 2014, Trane has been designing products operating with ultra-low GWP refrigerants that are responsible for the environment and good for our customers’ business without sacrificing quality, reliability or performance. By moving directly from R410A to R454B we continue to be front running in the marketplace and o er our customers the highest possible GWP reduction of all the potential replacements.” www.trane.eu HELPING SMALLER KITCHENS CHILL FAST Hubbard Systems is now distributing Friulinox’s compact ‘Chilly’ and ‘Go’ ranges of blast chillers and blast freezers in the UK. They are designed for operators looking to take advantage of food preparation systems like cook-chill and cook- freeze, but who only have limited space. The Go series is a range of compact blast chiller/freezers available in a choice of capacities. The smallest unit has a capacity of 8kg chilling, or 5kg freezing, while the largest o ers up to 55kg chilling capacity, equivalent to sixteen 1/1 GN pans. All models are capable of lowering the temperature of food from +90°C to +3°C in less than 90 minutes, allowing it to be stored for up to a week, retaining all the moisture and flavour perfectly. In freezing mode it can lower the food’s temperature from +90°C to -18°C in 240 minutes. For locations with extremely limited space, the Chilly is an ultra- compact blast chiller/freezer. It includes the same technology as its larger Go counterparts, shrunk down to just 560mm wide by 520mm deep and 560mm high. It can chill up to 12kg and freeze up to 8kg in the same time as its larger counterparts. https://www.scotsman-ice.co.uk/ The Friulinox Go
