35 CHANGING FACES MARK WALSH, SENIOR SALES ENGINEER, COOLAIR EQUIPMENT Air conditioning specialist Coolair Equipment has announced a new appointment to head-up expansion into Scotland and the North East. The operation will be led by senior sales engineer Mark Walsh , who has more than 20 years’ experience working with the likes of Kooltech and Midea UK. Coolair Equipment, which is headquartered in Manchester with offices in Maidstone and the Midlands, will now establish a permanent base in Newcastle, headed-up by Mark. Managing Director John Otterson said: “As a nationwide air- conditioning specialist, our services have always been available in Scotland and the North East. However, we want to cement our presence and roll out more services to clients within these regions, and with Mark at the helm, I am confident we will do so. Mark brings with him a wealth of experience and as well as working with major distributors, he has long had a presence within the HVAC industry in our new territories.” Mark, a native of Newcastle, has sold millions of pounds worth of equipment across the country and is no stranger to major projects, having organised the delivery and installation of some of the largest chillers available in the UK. He said: “Coolair Equipment Limited is renowned within the industry and I know it is a company to growwith. I am confident that together we can establish a firm holding in the area that has been my ‘patch’ for over 20 years. We have high ambitions for the future and I am looking forward to seeing Coolair Equipment Limited reach them.” JAMES MEADOWS, REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, AERMEC UK Air handling solutions specialist Aermec UK has appointed James Meadows as regional sales manager for the Midlands. With over 13 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, James has a strong building services background and as well as technical sales for applied solutions. James has worked for a number of leading manufacturers as a contracts and applications engineer but also worked in technical sales, internally and externally. Latterly James has held a variety of sales management roles working closely with consultants and contractors. James brings a wealth of experience and his appointment will enable Aermec to continue to drive the business forward.” PETER SPURWAY, NATIONAL SALES MANAGER – HEATING PRODUCTS, LG ELECTRONICS Peter Spurway has joined LG Electronics as national sales manager – heating projects, based at the company’s HQ in Weybridge, Surrey. Peter has almost 20 years' experience working in the heating sector and joins LG after holding senior sales positions at Vaillant Group and Baxi Heating. He began his career as an HVAC engineer at Bracknell Forest Council and has also held technical, product and marketing management positions at Strebel. Currently a committee member for the CIBSE Home Counties North West region, Peter said: “These are exciting times at LG and in the heat pump marketplace. I’m really enjoying being a part of the LG team as the heat pump revolution gets underway here in the UK. "Our valued nationwide distribution partners have been instrumental in the success and growth of the Therma V heat pump range. We recognise that training is going to be vital to upskill more installers as we press ahead with the electrification of heat. We will soon be making further announcements which will enable LG to supply a whole new level of project, design and specification support unmatched in the market.” MICHAEL ELRINGTON, SALES MANAGER, JENACT UV air and surface disinfection specialist JenAct, part of the Jenton group of companies, has appointed Michael Elrington as sales manager. Michael joined Jenton two years ago as sales engineer responsible for the complete sales cycle of the company’s food processing automation equipment and UV disinfection systems. During this time, he also helped develop JenAct’s GRU-V Jet ceiling-mounted UV air disinfection system for food processing plants. In his new role, Michael will further drive sales of JenAct’s UV disinfection systems whilst working on sector specific related projects and collaborating with customers to develop bespoke solutions. Jenton MD Richard Little said: “We are delighted to announce Michael’s promotion to sales manager for JenAct. Despite joining us at the beginning of the pandemic, he has become an invaluable member of the team, is great with customers and shown significant technical ability.
