By adopting this approach this helped them focus on adding value and exploring the areas outlined within SafeHire. Its response to the pandemic allowed them not just to consider survival in the challenging climate, but prepare to thrive when working towards the re-opening of the events sector. Winners of SafeHire Event Hire Company of the Year Over £3 Turnover Sunbelt Rentals Judges noted that whilst they were unable to support major events, Sunbelt Rentals’ events team has played a key role in providing emergency response support to the NHS and government’s COVID-19 response plan which necessitated a huge infrastructure drive and Sunbelt provided over 290,000 items of equipment for almost 500 COVID testing facilities and vaccine centres constructed UK- wide. They also contributed vital equipment and services during the construction of emergency NHS Nightingale Hospitals. They have protected the NHS, the public and ultimately saved lives.
