Mansell provides on-site finishes and off-site steel frames to main contractors and developers UK-wide, and has refreshed its trading name as part of a new brand identity. The new name of ‘Mansell Building Solutions Ltd’ coincides with the company’s relocation to a new manufacturing facility in Bolton, which prefabricates steel panels prior to being delivered to site on a just-in-time basis. Mansell moves NEWS APSS promotes two team members Lincolnshire commercial interior design and fit-out firm, APSS, has promoted two long-serving staff members. Richard Mycroft has been promoted to Operations Manager. He has been with the company for nearly eight years, in which time he has worked on a range of large-scale projects including full office fit-outs for Highways England, Aberdeen Properties and LNER. Mark Wagstaff will step into Richard’s old shoes, taking on the position of Senior Projects Manager. In the six years Mark has been with the company, he has led large scale fit-out projects including national brands such as Slimming World and Wren Kitchens. CCF strengthens technical team Insulation and interior building products distributor, CCF, has strengthened its technical team with three new recruits. Andy Moores, Chris Roughneen, and Richard Gay have all been newly appointed as Technical Managers. Tasked with providing technical support to customers across a variety of building projects, Andy, Chris and Richard will also act as a direct point of contact for CCF’s regional, national and branch sales teams. Andy’s experience will be used to support the technical requirements of both North and Central regions, with a particular focus on insulation growth. Chris will apply his extensive knowledge, including his insight as a qualified Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) assessor and training to become Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Level 2 qualified in passive fire protection, to assist teams and customers across the country. Richard will be the first point of contact for customer and colleague technical enquiries across the South East and South West regions. www.ccfltd.co.uk Major accolade for Jeanette MacIntyre of Indeglas The outstanding achievements of JeanetteMacIntyre, founder of glass specialist, Indeglas, have been formally recognised by her alma mater with her induction into its prestigious Hall of Fame. The School of Arts and Creative Industries (SACI) at Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) awarded the rare accolade to Jeanette in tribute to her creative talent as well as acknowledging the significant contribution she has made to the built environment sector. Jeanette, who has led theway in interior glass solutions since graduating fromEdinburghNapier in 1985with aDiploma in Interior Design, is committed to ensuring innovation, people-centred design and sustainability remains at the heart of the future built environment and to this end she currently serves as co-Vice Chair of Construction Scotland Innovation Centre. Jeanette is also a boardmember of Lanarkshire Enterprise Services Limited (LESL). Optima’s adaptable meeting room Optima has created a new R&D unit dedicated to its adaptable meeting room (AMR), at its UK manufacturing facility near Bath. Constantly innovating, they now have a whole team assigned to further developing the AMR for the future. The office environment is always changing, and this has been accelerated by the pandemic, therefore, Optima has introduced features that focus on hygiene. Working alongside Future Designs and other external companies, they have introduced a number of new features to the AMR; it can now integrate antimicrobial technology that provides protection against harmful, bacteria and viruses. Clients can also install anti-bacterial lighting removing up to 99% of all airborne bacteria within the AMR.
