BLOG SPOT
My Little Coeliac and Me
mylittlecoeliac.com
Launched by six year old Mia with the help of
her Mum, this blog offers lots of child friendly
recipes and useful tips for parents. We love
the recipe for gluten-free cake pops!*
“As a Mum, I have found blogging a
great way to give people information.
For Mia, as a child (the blog was all her
idea!), she is loving the instant feedback
that we get, as well as the feeling that
she is helping other children with
coeliac disease.”

DIRECTORY
DELIVERY
I’m so happy the Directory
arrived today. My little boy
was diagnosed in February when
he was just 13 months old! He was
so poorly, but since getting the
diagnosis and taking gluten out of his
diet he has become a different child.

SAUSAGE FESTIVAL
We had a wonderful day at the
Sausage Festival in Framlingham
yesterday. My daughter was able to try
about six different gluten-free types and
we bought some, too.

I’m impressed at the range
of gluten-free products in
supermarkets in Spain, and most taste
good as well (posted from Spain)

REPORTING
INACCURACIES
As a Member of Coeliac UK, I
wish to bring your attention
to an article in the Daily Telegraph
reporting on the remarks of chef
Gizzi Erskine. Articles like this clearly
undermine coeliac disease and gluten
intolerance, and carry a message
to both catering professionals and
the public that gluten-free is not
important, which can therefore result
in a drop in standards within kitchens
and restaurants, making eating
out difficult and risking the health
of coeliacs.
Susan Payne
From the editor...
We shared Susan’s concerns about
the article so we got in touch with the
newspaper to highlight our concerns.
They then printed a follow up piece which
included a quote from our Chief Executive
and some accurate facts and stats about
coeliac disease which we hope put the
correct message out there.

I’m really impressed with the direction, action
and passion of your team [at the Volunteers’
